Welcome to Wim's Dashboard for Chinese!

Especially a warm welcome to the participants of the Workshop for Teachers of Chinese at the University of Oxford on 6-7 July.

The presentation I gave there, can be seen by clicking this link:

Wim's Dashboard for Mandarin Chinese,

an example of how to use Internet resources

for teaching and learning of 'Putonghua'

This Read1st page is meant for those who have landed in Wim's Dashboard for Chinese for the first time or if you want to check if you have the latest version of Wim's Dashboard.

Please remember: This dashboard is under constant development: it's growing and shrinking:

growing ==> new useful links are being added

shrinking ==> limiting the number of links for didactical reasons and/or better solutions.

Like the Germans say: "In der Beschränkung zeigt sich der Meister"

==> At the top of this page you can see which update you are dealing with.

Also have a good look at the Symbaloo message at the right-hand top of the Wim's Dashboard tab:

Updates of the page will be notified!

Some remarks:

  • though all links are o.k. and tested, I still need to add and delete and positioning links to improve 'findability' and the maximum 'didactic impact'

  • Please send your remarks and wishes to: w.oostindier@pl.hanze.nl
  • If you know a link that might fit in better, please let me know!
  • If you need a (better) solution to your wish, question or problem, please let me know.

This is how you can use this dashboard:

  1. Just use it and click the tab that probably will contain the links that will be helpful.
    1. If you click the 'NEWBIES' tab, a new tab will be opened Traditional Home. It will contain the links that NEWBIES will help to manage their 'Chinese needs, wishes and problems'.

  2. Use it + customize the tabs for your own goals or target groups
    1. you can edit, delete and move/copy a link by 'dragging' the icon towards the rectangle in the middle.
